Hope from Helen (HFH) is a 501(c) 3, non-profit charity that supports local and global charities dedicated to health, education, the environment, animal welfare, and individuals and families in need. HFH was started in 2005 in honor of Helen Butler, who fought a courageous battle against lung and breast cancer.  Helen was the mother of Sweetwater Surf Shop managing partner and WBLivesurf.com owner, Tony Butler.

In the last few years, nearly $325,000 has been raised for different charities. Past recipients include the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), American Cancer Society, Lower Cape Fear Hospice, Sea Biscuit Wildlife Shelter, PAWS Place, Southport Oak Island Animal Rescue, New Hanover Humane Society, Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Hospital, Wrightsville Beach Sea Turtle Project, Life Rolls On, Adopt an Angel, Surfers Healing, Surfrider Foundation, Pink Ribbon Project and many more.  In addition, the memorial fund has provided support for local families facing serious and terminal illnesses.

Lumina Ave, Wrightsville Beach during normal business hours.  Donated items must be received by November 28th. Donations received after November 28th will be included as raffle items.
