Please welcome Tara from Lazy Dog to Distressed Mullet!
Today, Friday October 18th, 2013, we welcome the full moon. A lunar eclipse accompanies this moon signaling a time for major endings and new beginnings. It is also a time for completion–whether or not that relates to a project, a relationship, or a chapter in your life. Embrace this time and become introspective.
During an eclipse we are able to see the moon directly without the reflection of the sun's light. Take this time to look within yourself and see who you truly are without the reflection of what others see in you, beyond your relationships, career, and outside experiences.
Grab your paddle, head out on the water alone or with your favorite peeps. Paddle out during sunset and celebrate the day's end. All is behind you. Look forward, and meditate upon the brilliant rising moon. For the yogis out there, practice some gentle heart openers like Cobra or Crescent Lunge to remain open to Divine Inspiration. Need a change in perspective? Practice Camel Pose or Upward Bow to see the world from a different point of view. Then take a few moments to be still and quiet. Sit with your feet in the water, look within, and seek your truth.
About Lazy Dog
Lazy Dog is based out of Key West, Florida. The company was founded upon the philosophy of living the life that you love, so for us it's not a job, it's a lifestyle. Our lifestyle consists of leading Eco tours via kayak or SUP, teaching SUP instruction, PaddleFit, and PaddleYoga, SUP race training, Special Olympics coaching, kids SUP clinics, paddling under the moonlight and guided meditations, and continuing to "have paddle will travel" as often as we can. Tara McCabe has been teaching PaddleYoga at Lazy Dog since 2009. She currently holds PaddleYoga/WPA Level 1 trainings through out the year in Key West with Lazy Dog Padde Yoga instructor Trish Miller.
