Brian Szymanski and John Becker join Mick Di Betta and SUP ATX to push the boundries of Standup Paddling with Lahui Kai Paddleboards
Austin, TX, July 2, 2014 – Lahui Kai is a brand built around people that share a mutual love for the water. Today Lahui Kai is proud to welcome legendary shaper Brian Szymanski and industry veteran John Becker to the family.  The two will join World Champion Mick Di Betta to form an industry leading brain trust of shaping, training and design knowledge. Lahui Kai was acquired by SUP ATX in 2012.

The importance of making quality boards and immerging technologies available to the masses is a core concept for the industry leading Standup Paddleboard manufacturer, SUP ATX.  "The Lahui Kai story has always served as an unbelievable foundation for success," said SUP ATX Founder Nick Matzorkis. "The addition of [Brian Szymanski and John Becker] will make the high-end designs and constructions, traditionally reserved for the few, available to all," added Matzorkis. SUP ATX will launch the expanded 2015 lineup at the Outdoor Retailer tradeshow in August.

For the last eight years, Szymanski and Becker have served behind the scenes as an unbeatable construction and design duo for several world-champions and prominent board brands. Szymanski, a world-class surfer and paddler with over two decades of shaping experience, and Becker, a godfather of SUP touring and racing, will take on leadership rolls in the future of the Lahui Kai brand as the head shaper and brand manager; Mick Di Betta will retain his roll as the coach, figurehead and founder of Lahui Kai.  These three paddlers represent the most impressive collaboration of knowledge, skill and experience ever seen in the world of Standup Paddling.
