Candice Appleby discussing standup paddleboarding and the youth movement

We caught up with Candice Appleby after her distance and technical wins at the Pacific Paddle Games in Dana Point, CA to talk about her success and the youth movement in Standup Paddleboarding.

Her message: The most important thing about standup paddling for kids is that standup paddling can’t be the most important thing. They should have fun, get the right equipment, and learn in a safe environment.

The Junior National Team is growing, selected over the years with great sportsmanship, attitudes and supportive parents.
