What kind of paddling settings and conditions will racers face?
Ocean, some open water, mostly along the coast Salem, MA to Manchester, MA and back.
Does your event benefit a charity and if so, can you tell us about them?
The Plummer Home. Mission: Young people who leave the foster care or juvenile justice system without safe, stable & permanent family connections face grim outcomes, including high rates of homelessness, unemployment, early parenting and lack of education. Plummer is changing that by deeply and effectively engaging families for each young person we serve while building their skills and community connections, and by sharing our knowledge with others.
What makes your event great? What will paddlers love about coming to your event?
So fun! Cash purse for Elite levels. 1st, 2nd, 3rd place award medals for all other categories. SUP clinics, SUP relay races, SUP Yoga and other fitness events on land including yoga, waterfront spinning and a bean bag tournament! Lots of great food, drink and shopping vendors! And it’s all for the amazing cause of the Plummer Home kids

Spots: Clinics are limited to no more than 20 paddlers

Where can people get paddle gear like PFDs and Hydration packs?
On site. SUP East Coast Style provides extras if needed

Multiple places in Salem or limited items at Winter Island Campground
Where can people stay? Do you have a hotel you can recommend and contact info?
Winter Island Campsites (limited spaces pre-reserved), Merchant Inn, Hawthorne Hotel, Salem Inn, Clipper Ship Inn
What great local restaurants can you recommend?
Howling Wolf, Bambolina, Jimmy Johns and Longboards (all will also be serving food on the 15th & 16th free with race entry!
Where is the best coffee in town?
Derby Joes, Jaho and Front Stree Coffee House and Red Line Cafe
