Paddle Out starts at Gilbert Park in Brightwaters, New York. It is a 3 mile paddle out into the Great South Bay of Long Island and back to Gilbert Park.

You’ll enjoy being part of this event because besides taking place on the beautiful Great South Bay of Long Island, your participation will help to break the silence for pregnancy and postpartum depression awareness and provide support for New York State moms, dads, and families in need through the benefiting charity, the Postpartum Resource Center of New York.

There are a number of hotels in the area. One is the Residence Inn Long Island Islip/Courthouse Complex –Address: 7 Court House Dr, Central Islip, NY 11722, which is about a 20 minute drive from the event site.

There are many restaurants serving a variety of fare in Bay Shore, NY, which is right next to Brightwaters. Some popular restaurants include: The Lake House, Tula Kitchen, Tullulah’s, Swept Away, Local Burger, Aji 53, Salt & Barrel, Pico Tequila Grill, Kumo Sushi, Chowder Bar, Milk & Sugar Cafe, SIAM Lotus Thai Restaurant, The Southside Hotel, Verde Kitchen & Cocktails, Aria Melanie on the Lake, and many others.
