I was born in Brockville,Ontario; I currently live in London,Ontario.
What is your occupation?
I am an Oakley Sales Representative.
Where do you SUP the most?
I SUP the most on Lake Erie in Port Stanley.
Do you have a favorite local paddleboard shop?
London SUP is my local paddleboard shop but I also love Paddle Sport Performance in Oakville.
What paddleboard, surfski or OC do you ride most?
I race with a KM Hawaii Compressor 12’6 and I tour with Tahoe Bliss 11’6.
Do you own any other paddleboards, surfskis or OCs and what kind?
I also have an inflatable SUP Tahoe Alpine for travel.
What paddle do you use?
I use QB Trifecta.
Have you changed boards/paddles/equipment since you started? If so, why?
Yes I have I started racing with Blu Wave SUP then I became an Ambassador for LXV Outdoor.
If you could travel to anywhere in the world to paddle, where would you go?
Top on the list for me right now is SUPing the Algarve in Southern Portugal.
Best piece of SUP advice you’ve ever received?
Respect the water, have a float plan and always wear a PFD and Leash.
Weirdest thing that’s happened to you while paddling?
Last April I was training solo on Lake Erie and the winds changed drastically to an offshore wind and it was pushing me out so bad it took everything I had in me to get back to land. Scary day for sure!
Favorite SUP nutrition? (During races/ during a long haul)
Bananas and almonds are my go to and GU Energy Gels.
Goals for this next year?
My goal is to complete the Chattajack this October and next year I want to compete in the Carolina Cup.
Favorite post-paddle nosh (snack/beer/recovery drink)
Beer and Hot Wings all the way baby!
Your favorite non-paddle thing to do.
Golf, Camping or anything outdoors.
What piece of SUP gear do you wish someone would invent?
A dry suit that’s not 1,000$
What’s your biggest challenge with SUP?
Living in Canada the winter would have to be my biggest challenge.
What is your proudest moment in a SUP race or event?
Winning the Ontario SUP Series Championships in 2015 and completing and placing 2nd in the Mammoth Race in 2015. They don’t call it the Mammoth for no reason! Conditions were epic!

I can’t beging to tell you all of the great friends I’ve made through SUPing. My BFF Laurie Guthrie a match made in heaven!
What was your best SUP travel trip?
Lake Atitlan in Guatemala! This place is unreal!
