Casper Steinfath and Terrene Black made their marks on the APP Sup World Tour’s second stop at the Maui Pro-Am which started today. Steinfath and Black took the beach sprints at Ho’okipa.

Steinfath edged out Mo Freitas for the top spot, but the heats saw great efforts from Connor Baxter, Lincoln Dews, Toby Cracknell, Arthur Arutkin, Paddle Monster’s Travis Grant and Kody Kerbox, who all finished in that order.

Maui Pro Am

One the women’s side, Black battled against reining champ Fiona Wylde, and was able to come away with the victory in the final heat.

Women’s Finals

1st: Terrene Black (1st/2nd/2nd = 5)
2nd: Annie Reickert (3rd/4th/1st = 8)
3rd: Fiona Wylde (2nd/1st/6th = 9)
=4th: Candice Appleby (5th/5th/5th = 15)
=4th: Izzi Gomez (4th/7th/4th = 15)
=6th: Lara Claydon (7th/6th/3rd = 16)
=6th: Sonni Honscheid (6th/3rd/7th = 16)

The overall winner of the event will be decided after tomorrow’s race, which will either be a Maliko Run or a course race.  Tradewinds have been off, so the Maliko downwinding magic may not materialize for tomorrow.  For results, check the APP website here.
