Trying to convince people how important it is to take a lesson and to be open to learning more about the sport.

What is your proudest moment in a SUP race or event?

Teaching an 80 year old man who couldn’t stand on the board without falling in and his wife who was afraid to stand up how to paddle. It was amazing watching them both paddle into the sunset that night.

Tell us about the best friend(s) you made through paddling.

I have so many best friends that I have made, but the one that stands out the most would be Matt Campbell, without him I wouldn’t have met all the amazing people that I am so thankful to have a best friends. I met Matt at my second race and he made me my 2 Blkbox boards that I raced and was able to win the Mid-West race series on 4 years in a row. I am so thankful for knowing him for so many reasons. Thanks to him I am able to paddle the best boards that I have ever been on.
