Spots: Limited to 50 paddlers ages 15 & under
Description: Jim Terrell (founder of Quickblade paddles and former four-time US Olympic Canoeist) and members of the HAVE FUN QB Team will teach kids the foundation of starting off with an efficient (injury-free) technique that demonstrates the four phases of stroke–the catch, power phase, exit and recovery). Kids will learn skills such as beach starts, buoy turns, leaning to turn and various other tips. A portion of this clinic will focus on things to think about in regards to good sportsmanship. Kids will learn that paddling is a life sport and that the most important thing is the relationships and friendships they will develop through paddling. Bring your own paddle, board & PFD. A few paddles will be available to borrow/demo on a first come, first serve basis.
