Pacific Paddle Games 2015

CARLSBAD, Calif., Sept. 29, 2015 – The first annual Pacific Paddle Games is shaping up to be the paddle event of the year. In addition to the $55,000 prize purse for pros (the biggest prize purse in history for SUP racing) and the impressive West Marine Demo Zone, the PPG will also host the first-of-its-kind Manufacturer’s Team Challenge. The Team Challenge pits industry brand teams against each other to compete for points with the four winning teams sharing in the bounty of $25,000 worth of print and digital advertising.

“The Manufacturer’s Team Challenge is another great way for brands to get involved with the 2015 Pacific Paddle Games, compete, have a little fun and elevate their brand awareness amongst this captive Southern California audience,” said SUP mag’s Andrew Mencinsky. “The Team Challenge puts your brand right in the heart of the racing action, provides consumer engagement, and an opportunity for your team to win thousands of dollars in advertising.”

The Team Challenge will include both men’s and women’s in Technical, Distance, Juniors and Prone categories. Each member of the team will compete for points, and the team with the most cumulative race points at the end of the weekend will take home the inaugural Manufacturer’s Team Challenge title, a two-page spread in SUP mag and a digital ad campaign across and with a $10,000 value. Second place will win $7,500 ad value, third $5,000 ad value and fourth a $2,500 digital campaign.

Each brand registered for the Manufacturer’s Team Challenge will also receive a 20-foot by 20-foot team pit in the Competition Zone and a 10-foot by 20-foot tent in the West Marine Demo Zone.

BOGA Paddle & Surf Co., Hobie, Infinity, Riviera Paddlesurf, SIC, and SUP ATX are just a few of the brands already confirmed for the Team Challenge and registration is still open! Contact Andrew Mencinsky, [email protected] for more information or a registration packet.

The 2015 Pacific Paddle Games, featuring a $55,000 prize purse for pros, wouldn’t be possible without the generous support of our sponsors and partners. Big thanks to Salt Life, OluKai, GoPro, West Marine, Milagro Tequila and California State Parks.
